Description: WW2 WWII USMC Chatillon NY Machete Bolo Knife USMC Medical Corpsman knife by Chatillon with USMC marked. The type used by the Marine Corps in the South Pacific, "Bolo" type knives, were intended as utility tools for clearing brush and light construction. The blade on this example is in very good condition, and is marked USMC / CHATILLON N.Y. on the left blade body. The blade does have some minor staining and pitting from age. however overall it is very solid. The edge is great, and relatively sharp. The grip scales are also in very good condition, with all rivets intact. Color indicates that the knife was not used that much at all. The overall handle is in great condition and tight.
