Description: Pair of Vintage Acoustic Research Walnut Stands originally purchased new for use with their Model AR-2A, AR-2Ax Loudspeakers. Stands are still serviceable but damaged and in need of repair after many years of use. The damage consists primarily of split wood at the tops of the vertical posts, where they engage the dovetailed ends of the horizontal cross-pieces. The joints are not glued and can be readily separated to facilitate repair. There are no missing pieces and a competent woodworker might be able to perform a near-invisible repair. The original oil stain finish is in very good condition and needs no work. Photos are provided to help with evaluation of the damaged areas. Additional information can be provided if needed. Local pickup acceptable.
