Description: Vintage 1987 Hetchins 23.5" / 60cm Magnum Opus 531 Reynolds Steel Road Bike Frame & Fork with Vibrant / Curly Stays Vintage English 1987 Hetchins Magnum Opus 23.5" x 22.5" English Road Bike Frame and Fork with the Iconic Vibrant or Curly Stays and Gorgeous Original Paint. It's all about Hetchins Beautiful Lugs, Not only beautiful styling the large amount of cut outs provides stronger brazed joints. The Lugs also Denote model, although they can have different Geometry's. This Magnum Opus is made of Reynolds 531 Steel Tubing with Campagnolo Dropouts and has the Iconic Curly / Vibrant Stays. I think this frame is considered 23.5" x 22.5" that's 23.5" Crank Center to Seat Mast Top and 22.5" Center to Center Top Tube. Size Metric Approximates: Seat tube 58.5cm Center to Center or 60cm Center to Top, with a a 57cm center to center Top Tube , and a 176mm tall headtube. The wheel base appears to be 40". The Serial is on the bottom bracket and is 870xx with Matching Fork Serial and from my research it's looks to be from 1987 and it is a Bob Jackson built Hetchins. The Frame has 126mm Rear Spacing for 6 and 7 speed freewheels. Frame & Fork ++ is British / ISO Standard. Frame and Fork with Beautiful original paint, it was built, but barely used, very low miles in any, it has very few blemishes, some scratches at front derailleur spot and one touch up spot under the top tube, the seat lug looks a tad boogered or unrefined, maybe made that way, thats some serious nit picking, it's Gorgeous and really hard to notice any flaws. The Frame and Forks clearance is for 700c Wheels bike.
