Description: Traditional men's short-sleeved service shirt, made in the United Kingdom by MECO, dated 1951. It was part of a Royal Navy officer's uniform. White. Pointed collar. Button front, the type of shirt that goes on over your head like a polo shirt, not the type that buttons all the way down. Short sleeves. Epaulette holes. Size: Collar size: 15.5 inches. Actual garment measurements:Chest measurement: 48 inches (maximum)Shoulder to shoulder: 17.5 inchesLength, neck to hem at the back: 38 inches Condition: This shirt has clearly been used a great deal, and is in poor condition. It has been professionally cleaned since it was last used, but that was over half a century ago. It has the original owner's name inside. There is a large mark in the front, as shown, a small black mark on the edge of the collar, and significant wear on the fold line of the collar. Might come in useful as part of a genuine vintage stage costume or similar, but definitely in poor condition! Please see pictures.
