Description: It's the end of an era, as one of America's oldest alternative free weekly newspapers, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, has published its last issue. Appropriately, it's going out the door with one of its big fat "Best of the Bay" annual issues, a type of special issue that the SFBG invented. Politically left / liberal, the paper closely matched the mood of San Francisco for many decades, but like many papers has failed to hold onto advertisers in the internet era. This is a clean, fresh, near-mint copy of that final issue, dated October 15 2014, taken from a street distribution box, never opened, never read. And nice and flat -- NOT folded in the middle! A piece of San Francisco media history.
