Rolex Datejust 1601 Grey/Lavender Dial - 1966

Description: For sale is a Rolex Datejust 1601 with a grey/lavender dial. The watch dates to 1966 and is in very nice condition for its age. The first three serial numbers on the case are 142. Case: a case with wear and scratches from normal use. No major dents. No corrosion of any kind on the case. The white gold bezel is very sharp. The case is also very sharp with crisp lines. Dial: the dial is a grey color. From certain angles and in the light, it takes on a lovely lavender color. The dial is a sunburst dial. All the lume plots are present and full on the dial. The dial has a tiny chip near 25 marker. It is hard to see in any lighting. The dial does not hold a charge any longer due to its age and the lume markers do not glow in the dark. Hands: are in good shape and match the lume markers. They react to UV light in the same way the lume markers on the dial do. Bracelet: a folded link Rolex jubilee bracelet. The date code on the clasp is 2-67. The bracelet has 19 links on it. There is very light stretch. I am also including two additional links for a total of 21 links. Crystal: Crystal has a scratch on it near the 3 o’clock marker. Please see pictures. Warranty: The watch is running very well. In September 2024 it received a full service from Rolieworks in Florida. It has been pressure checked and the timing is great. It is ready to be worn and enjoyed. It will include the service paper work and 2 year warranty from Rolieworks.
