Description: This exquisite pair of fine 19th Century Continental Porcelain Figures/Spill Vases / Quill Holders (possibly Jacob Petit), the man leaning on a column holding tricorn, the female leaning against a tree stump, both wearing period costume standing upon simply-styled bases. The French 19th century couple style figurines are 3.5 inches long, 7.5 inches tall, and 3 inches wide, weighing 2lbs 10.4 ounces together. They are a beautiful representation of the era and will make a great conversation piece for any collector. The figurines are handmade and feature a decorative design, making them a unique and valuable antique item. NOTE: see photos, minor damage on the base as there was previously suede glued to the base of each figurine to protect surfaces from scratching…and some aging ware on the gilding. The very tip of the male’s pinky and ring fingers are chipped. Unmarked.
