Description: This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC AEROSPACE Engineer that was part of ABMA and the moving on to NASA working with Wernher von Braun on the pioneering Rocket Team. Mr. Thomson was ultimately responsible for the development of the H1, J2, F1 Rocket Engines and eventually put in charge of the Shuttle and later worked on the Shuttle's SSME (RS-25) starting in 1968 designing its Engines - Lastly he was Chief Engineer on the SSME program from 1971-86. Listing is for 4 NASA SPACE SHUTTLE CHALLENGER STS-41C LIFTOFF 1st Generation Original PHOTOS. This mission was the first direct ascent trajectory. Photos (8x10) include 4 different views from April, 6, 1984 Liftoff and all have purple ink stamp on back side. All are in Excellent overall condition for use, age and storage with very minor wear.
