Description: Offered is the vintage book "July 20, 2019-Life in the 21st Century", written by Arthur C. Clarke and published in New York by Macmillan. This look into what was the future when published (now our past) by the famous science-fiction writer (see photo #4 for contents) has a 1986 copyright and appears to be a second printing of the first edition, with a 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 number line. There are dozens of illustrations and photos, many in color. The original dust jacket is included. The book is approx. 10 1/4" x 8" and contains 281 pages, including the index. It is in very good to excellent condition. The black hard cover has no wear except for a very narrow strip of fading along the back bottom edge. The metallic purple words on the spine are still shiny. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back cover. The blue endpapers are clean. I see no missing or torn pages and all are well-attached to the binding. They have yellowed slightly but are otherwise clean. I see no writing in the book. The dust jacket has no large tears but does have some slight raggedness along the top edge. It has an unclipped price. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
