The Tacoma frame repair features an electroplated coating that not only facilitates easier welding but also provides excellent resistance against corrosion and wear. INSTALLTIONThis part is designed to coincide with our jigsaw style weld edges for a seamless fit, and should be welded onto the existing frame along all overlapped edges. MID FRAME SECTIONFEATUREOur Mid Frame Section was designed to fit the 2nd Gen Tacoma Mid-rear frame section where the forward end of the rear leaf spring mounts to the frame. This part begins right at the rear cab mount and ends 12″ after the rear bed mount. INSTALLTIONThe leaf spring mount will need to be removed from the frame by cutting the rivet heads off and drilling them out. Once removed the frame repair section can be installed and your leaf spring mount can be re-attached either with nut and bolts or by welding it back on. The Mid Frame Section has 3 cut lines in the area of the rear bed mount, giving you the option to notch the frame kit around the rear bed mount if the metal behind it is good. MID-REAR FRAME SECTIONFEATUREThe Mid-Rear Frame begins at the rear fuel tank cross member and is 26.25″ long, and ends just after the spare tire cross members forward mount to the frame. You will need to remove the bump stop mount from your frame before your able to install this frame kit. INSTALLTIONWe’ve designed our Mid-Rear Frame to cap the frame over the rear axle after removing the bump stop and any rust or corrosion. The Mid-Rear Frame caps over the original frame from the outside and is notched to fit right around the driver side upper shock mount, just clamp the frame kit so it fits tightly to the frame, then weld it on. REAR FRAME SECTIONFEATUREOur Rear Frame Sections can be used to cap over the original frame or can also be used to replace the rear frame end. It was designed to cap the rear end of the frame starting half way through the spare tire cross member and extending 24.25″ to the rear end of the frame. The Rear Frame Section has holes cut into it for installing the leaf spring hangers, and also bolting on the rear bumper. INSTALLTIONTo install you will need to remove the rear bumper brackets from the frame and remove the rear leaf spring hangers by cutting/drilling out the rivets, then re-install the spring hangers after the Rear Frame Sections are welded to the frame.Protection: Say goodbye to worries about rust damage affecting the structural integrity of your vehicle's frame.
