Description: Up for sale is a pair of amazing oil paintings by the renowned British artist Frank Moss Bennett. The two paintings, titled "The Landlord's Tale" and "The Punch Bowl", showcase Bennett's signature style of realism and are signed by the artist himself. These medium-sized paintings (up to 36in.) are framed and feature a beautiful portrait theme. The paintings are in their original condition and have been produced using the traditional oil painting technique. They are listed by a dealer or reseller and are perfect for art collectors and enthusiasts alike. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own these authentic, British-made paintings from the late 19th century. 19th century Genre Painting Attributed to Frank Moss Bennett (1874-1952) Frank Moss Bennett (1874 - 1953) Frank Moss Bennett was active/lived in United Kingdom, England. Frank Bennett is known for portrait, historical scenes, posthumous portraits of deceased World War I soldiers. Signed (British 19th/20th Century) oil paintings on canvas attributed to Frank Moss Bennett (1874-1952) who is known for paintings of British solders including Chelsea Pensioners. “The Landlord’s Tale”: Two men are wearing their red scarlet coats and engaged by the Landlord’s conversation while by the fireplace. “The Punch Bowl”: Three men are wearing their scarlet coats and serving up punch around the table. I am selling both of these paintings together. Size of the paintings are 14 inches by 10 inches. Approximately 19 inches and 15.5 inches with frame. Condition of the paintings are good, a bit dusty and some small surface cracks. Titles of both pieces are written on edge of canvas and seen from back where canvas is wrapped and stapled. (See photos) One says “The Landlord’s Tale” and the other one is hard to make out. (Since it’s been trimmed) But I believe its title is “The Punch Bowl”. (Which would make since cause the painting is of the men serving up punch) Both paintings are signed on the bottom left. Both paintings are noticeably antique oil paintings. I don’t have any paper work or professional appraisals or certificates. There are numbers written, it appears they’ve been marked with a pencil on the back of frames from previously selling at auction. I acquired these paintings from an estate auction in Oregon roughly 5 yrs ago . Sellers Label read “authentic antique Frank Moss Bennett signed original oil paintings.” The owner before me had passed away and that’s how I was able to buy them. My decorating style has changed and now I’m hoping to just get back close to what I paid for them which was $1850 for the set. Please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you
