Description: Collector's Edition 363-Card Complete Set Top 27 Cards Graded 1993 MTG This is a complete Collector's Edition set, comprised of all 363 cards (27 of which are graded) and the card box. The Collector's Set was released on December 10,1993 and is a duplicate of the Limited Edition Beta print run with distinctive gold-bordered card backs and square-cut corners. It contains all 302 cards of the Beta set plus 61 additional basic lands: 12 Plains, 13 Islands, 12 Swamps, 12 Mountains, and 12 Forests. Of the 10,000 sets ordered, approximately 9,000 were produced with the International Edition created in an attempt to address the unfulfilled demand. The 27 graded cards are the Power Nine (Black Lotus, Mox Pearl, Mox Sapphire, Mox Jet, Mox Ruby, Mox Emerald, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk, Timetwister), Wheel of Fortune, Balance, Shivan Dragon, Birds of Paradise, Time Vault, Mana Vault, Vesuvan Doppelganger, Chaos Orb, and all 10 dual lands (Badlands, Bayou, Plateau, Savannah, Scrublands, Taiga, Tropical Island, Tundra, Underground Sea, Volcanic Island). All seven BGS 9.5 cards (Mox Ruby, Mox Jet, Mox Pearl, Ancestral Recall, Underground Sea, Bayou, Savannah) are the top grade for the card's population. Overall, the set is a good representation of the production quality of the 1993 limited releases, with poor centering being a common issue. Many of the cards are graded 9 solely because they have Centering of 8.5. Grading details are as follows. One card, Armageddon, has a binder ding on its card back and corner damage. Please see images 18 to 20; ding is very slight and hard to see but is evident to the touch. For sale by the second owner, who acquired the set in 1995 and has maintained it unplayed ever since. Stored in a smoke-free environment.
