It gets plugged in and we test for everything making sure it works 100% before it's shipped out to you.Wiring harness is fed thru the f holes and requires opening in the widest part of the f hole no less than 1 - 1/8 inch to be able to feed the harness into the hollow body. Template component measurements center to center: Volume to Volume 2.5" Switch to Neck Volume 2" Tone to Tone 2.5" Switch to Jack 6.5" Volume to Tone 2.5" **If you are not sure whether your guitar uses short (3/8") or long (3/4") shaft pots please check before ordering.
